Use Hero blocks to display an image at the top of a Web Management System (WMS) web page that spans the width of the viewer’s browser window:
In this article:
Create a Hero block
- Go to My Workbench and click on the Create Content tab.
- Click McGill Hero.
- Fill out the following:
- Label: Enter the name of the block that will appear on the Block Administration page. This name will not be visible to site visitors.
- Image: Upload the image to be used for this block. Follow the instructions in the help text below the field.
Configure a Hero block
To place the block on a page, from the Administration toolbar, click Structure > Blocks. Follow the instructions to Manage blocks in the WMS.
Note: Hero blocks can only be placed in the Highlighted region.
Edit / delete a Hero block
Follow the instructions on Editing or deleting a block in the WMS.
